There is properly no history, only biography. We see the world not as it is, but as we want it to be. Through the lens before our eyes, also called perspective. This blog records my views on everything and anything. It is said that people prefer to be wrong rather than to be differnt. Most of my posts would be different.

Any alternative to the 'blessed with a baby' phrase?
Every time a colleague becomes a father or mother, the only phrase that I hear is "I/we am/are blessed with a baby boy/girl". Why is it that everyone uses the same phrase? This is the only phrase that I hear, without any changes, from everybody. Isn't it strange? Isn't there an alternative phrase to convey the same thing in English?

Can't we say "My wife(preferably name) gave birth to our baby boy/girl"?. It looks little odd but I think can be used when we talk in person.
I have googled and found lot of references for "I Became Father"
Well...this is an interesting question. You could start with one of these phrases "There is a new addition to our family" or "Here's the newest member of our family or "A little Angel has just entered our lives" ..then followed by our regularly famous blessed with baby..
"We have suucesfully increased the population of (india) by 1. :)"
